Please choose from the specific causes above to receive narrower, more targeted Requests for Help that match your interests (Ex. Veterans, Seniors, Animals, the Environment, etc.)
Please note: Each profession, trade or interest in the Community Skill Bank “Help for a Cause” project has a “Help all Nonprofits” option. If you choose to Follow the “Help all Nonprofits” project you will get to see all Requests for Help that come in from philanthropic organizations needing a specific skill set. If you choose to also follow a specific project, you may get duplicate notifications of Requests for Help.
Step #4—Do you have any ideas or information to share with other Mentors that would help them to help their community? Let us know via the “Share Information & Resources” comment section below on this page if you would like to share useful tips, advice and resources that would help other Mentors in the “Help for a Cause” Community Skill Bank.
Do you have tips for Mentors who care about helping specific causes that would be helpful to them as a community volunteer helping that cause? For instance, Mentors for a Cause helping Veterans, Seniors, Animals, the Environment, etc. Please share with them in the “Share Information & Resources” comment section on the project page of that specific cause.
Step #5–On every “Mentors for a Cause” project page you will see current Projects, Information Updates, Resources & Requests for Help in the comment section at the bottom of the page. When there is a Request for Help, you will see “Project Status: Open”. That means that Your Help is needed!
You can peruse the opportunities to volunteer and help the causes that you believe in and want to support most. You can choose if, when and how much you would like to help! You can decide to help with the request if it is a cause that you want to dedicate your time, effort and skills to assist. If it is not of interest, simply pass that request by.
Please let us know via the “Share Information & Resources” comments section below if you decide to help with the request. That way everyone else interested in following this project will be instantly notified that the request is being taken care of and that you are the one filling the request. If you specifically request for us to keep that information private, we are also able to keep the name of the person or organization that fills the request anonymous if you prefer.

Your project status is “open” until you get the volunteer help you need. If you fill out the details below and send it in as a comment, you will save yourself time from having to answer the same questions over and over again for potential volunteers. People will have the details they need to know if they can help you.
