Animal Goals–City, County State & Specific Cause Goals
*****Our Goal is : Maricopa County, Arizona will have zero euthanasia of any Dog that has any hope of a meaningful quality of life by the year 2018.*****
We Need Cat Goals for both inside Cats & Outside Cats! Any ideas? Is this one realistic for cats?
*****Our Goal is : Maricopa County, Arizona will have zero euthanasia of any Cat that has any hope of a meaningful quality of life by the year 2020.*****
There are several sub-goals that support this main Goal for Dogs and the main Goal for Cats:
Sub-Goal #1: We need a specific goal or percentage, but this sub-goal is to Create a Lost & Found Dog and Cat System that increases the number of animals that are safely returned home to their families.
Sub-Goal #2: We need a specific goal or percentage, but this sub-goal is to Increase the Number of Rescued Animals Adopted into loving families.
Sub-Goal #3: We need a specific goal or percentage, but this sub-goal is to Solve and Find Answers for the Common Reasons that Animals become Homeless or Unwanted. We would like to create responses that keep animals in their home. For instance, No $$$ for food—>Provide donated food, No $$$ for vet care—>Find low-cost or free veterinary care, Military Deploying Overseas—>Secure Long Term Fosters, Domestic Violence Situation—>Foster Home Until Resettled Elsewhere, Behavior Problems–Offer Free or Low-Cost Assistance, etc.
Sub-Goal #4: We need a specific goal or percentage, but this sub-goal is to Increase the Number of Spays & Neuters of Animals in order to prevent unwanted puppy or kitten litters.
Sub-Goal #5: We need a specific goal or percentage, but this sub-goal is to Prevent Many of the Avenues through which Animals Chaotically Enter into the Rescue System. For instance, “Pool Guy or Utility Guy left the back gate open and my animals escaped”—>Educate Pool Cleaning Services, Utility Services and others, “Fireworks scared my animals and they are lost—>Educate Public about securing animals, “I am moving” but they have known for 6 months but call the day before—>Work with Realtors to Encourage Pet Owners to make advance placements or work with a shelter earlier, The Dog or Cat’s Human is terminally ill or in hospice—>Work with Hospice workers to coordinate with the person’s family or with animal rescues for a smooth, well planned transfer of the animal to a new home.
Sub-Goal #6: We need a Disaster Preparedness Plan for Dogs & Cats in Arizona. We are looking for leaders around Arizona to bring a Empty Bowl model to your city/county. This can be done by creating a coalition to support the animals of your location or by helping to provide volunteers and be a liaison to our Main office. We are striving to gather and curate all of the individuals, organizations and government agencies that will commit to providing specific services during an emergency situation. We would like to create a statewide resource list so that services & resources can be more efficiently deployed during a disaster. What will you and your organization commit to? What services can you be counted on to provide?
Our Goal is to: Create a Master List of all the Animal Rescue Groups in Arizona who are currently helping to Save and/or Rehome domesticated Animals. Add all organizations to the Directory of Organizations on the CommunityCause.org website along with the services they provide and their service area. Provide current & accurate information about rescue groups that is quick, clear and effortless to access. Make it easier for people in our community to find Animal Rescues and other Animal related groups when they want to help adopt an animal, volunteer, donate items, sponsor events, or give money. ***
Our Goal is to: Assist Individuals, Families and Professionals in finding Quick and Easy Access to Help & Resources that address Common Issues regarding Domestic Animals and Wildlife.

If the person is able to navigate this website or other source intuitively, without any outside assistance and without frustration, then our goal has been accomplished. If the individual can find an organization or service that meets their needs within a 10 minute visit to the website or other source then our goal has been accomplished.
