Thank you for wanting to create a project that can help to solve a Social or Environmental problem! Your Community wants to help you get the assistance you need to complete your project! Simply scroll down to fill out a Create a Project Application Form below. This is a FREE service. Once you fill out the Create a Project Application Form, we will post it on the front page of this website and begin to help you spread the word about the project you are trying to create ! To enlist your community’s help in creating your project, it also helps if you send out the link to your project through all of your social media channels. All of the different types of projects can use the same application form that you see below. For Startups only: If you are a Startup Organization–Click Here to use a different application form that will help you with your new business or nonprofit organziation.

Are you a Nonprofit Organization, Government Agency, School/University Group or other Philanthropic organization that needs assistance in helping an individual or group that you are working with accomplish an American Dream project or reach out for assistance with a Helping Hand project? Or, do you need the physical participation of the community through a Community Engagement project? Or, do you need on-line or virtual help from the community through a Crowdsourcing Request project?

Are you a Researcher, University, Nonprofit or other organization that would like to propose a Citizen Science project or receive community help with Scientific Research that solves a Social or Environmental problem?

Your Next Step.........How can the Community join you in helping to make this project of yours a reality? Let us know by filling out the information below. All projects will use the same Project Proposal Application Form. TIP: Please type the answers in a separate word document in case you hit a wrong button and lose material.   • What is the name of your Project? You have up to 55 Characters here so please also include any other important information that will make people want to click and learn more. This is your "Headline" and it will appear on the front page of the CommunityCause.org website.

  • What are the Search Terms, Key Words, Subjects, Topic Headings, etc. that you would like to have your project listed under?

    What key words do you think people will search for your project under?

    You may want to think outside the box and consider all parts of your project so that you may pick up people who may be interested in one of the various aspects to your project.

    Let's make it easy for people to find your project! Let's make it easy for new people to become interested in at least some aspect of your project! What groups and what people with similar interests might be interested in helping with some aspect of your project? Who might your project appeal to? Who may be interested in helping your project? What words would they use to search and find your project?

  • Briefly, what are you wanting to accomplish with this Project (Big Idea, Goal)? What do you hope to achieve? Just a few words or a few brief sentences sentence here. This is the Thumbnail Sketch of what is most important for people to know.

    You only have 150 words to make a first impression and entice people to click to learn more. What is most important for them to know about the project?

    This is your "Elevator Pitch" here. One concise sentence you could deliver in under 30 seconds which is the amount of time you might have with someone to pitch your idea and interest them before the elevator doors open.     What is most important for them to know about your Startup venture? Imagine that this is going out as a Tweet on Twitter. Make it impactful so that people will want to click to learn more.

    What Individual, Group, Cause or Target Population will you be helping? What Social or Environmental Problem are you going to solve? Just a few brief sentences here. Please include more specific details in the next section.

  • Please describe, in detail, the Project that you are creating. What do you hope to achieve? What are you proposing to do? Please be very specific. Now is your chance to add any pertinent details that you did not get to include in the thumbnail sketch. Provide any details that you believe will assist people in deciding whether and how to help.

  • Please describe the "Cliff's Notes", brief or bullet point version of the steps you intend to take to bring your project to completion.

    Example:

    Step #1--Identify Veterans who would like to participate. Step #2--Gather 5 different "Green Projects" that would be marketable. Step #3--Train Veterans on how to do the projects. Step #4--Market Services to the public. Step #5--Deploy Veterans to do Green Jobs that help the community & their environment while providing them with a steady income.

  • When people search for your project they will see this information first. If you wish, you may create the excerpt that you want the public to see instead of letting the computer program decide for you.

    Whatever excerpt you choose to type in this space will be what people searching will see and use to decide whether to click to see more information about your project. Simply copy & paste the most important information from what you have already answered in the other questions. Please make sure that it accurately reflects the most important information that you want people to know about your project.

  • This is not required. Is there currently a State or County Goal that your project supports? People often like to support projects that are supporting a larger community goal. Or, would you like to create a State or County Goal and request the community to create their own projects to support that Goal? You may list it here, if you wish. Don't worry! We will help you with this step when you submit your project. You may skip this question, if you wish.

    State and County Goals--Instructions

    These are the Goals that are currently being worked on in each state and county. Do you have a State or County Goal that you would like to propose? To add a goal simply fill out the form below (Coming Soon!). The website page for each specific State & County is meant to show all of the goals going on statewide and county wide, along with the projects that people are engaging in Cooperative Collaboration in order to support that goal.

    Goals should include this information format:

    To post a goal, please make sure it is a S.M.A.R.T. goal. S–very Specific, Sensory based what will you see, hear, experience when you know that the goal has been achieved? M–Measurable, put numbers that can be tracked and used for evaluation of progress on the goal. A–Achievable, you want to set the Goal high enough so that it is a stretch but not so high that the goal becomes demotivating because it is unattainable. R–Realistic, Reasonable, Really Exciting, and the goal Resonates with people. T–Time Limit, set the target date by which you would like to accomplish the goal. Your goal should articulate your desired final destination once the goal is achieved. What is the “deliverable” that you would like to produce? Both Goals and Community Projects should note whether it is a statewide effort or just pertinent to specific counties.

  • This is your "Call to Action" to get people passionate about helping You and your Project (Big Idea, Goal). Why is this important to you? How big is this problem? What is the impact on Society or the Environment? Please state the Reason why this project is needed. Why should the community care about helping your Project or solving this problem?

    How would your Project help to solve the problem? How would this Project (Big Idea, Goal) help you or your organization? How would successfully completing your Project (Big Idea, Goal) change or improve the life or future of this individual, group, organization or cause?

    What is the impact on Society or the Environment? Why should the community care about helping this individual or group in achieving this Project? Who does it benefit and in what ways will it benefit them? Please describe how your Project would benefit the community, your organization or specific groups and/or individuals?

    Why is it important to you to solve this problem? What is your story? This is your "Call to Action" to get people passionate about helping You and your Project.

  • What type of Items do you need to accomplish your Project (Big Idea, Goal)? Are there specific Supplies or Materials that you need to complete your Project? You may post your Wish List of Needed Items here. Please state whether you are requesting a Gift, a Nonprofit Donation or offering payment.

    You may also request the opportunity to borrow an item that you need. In addition to posting your needs here, please remember that you can also post your request in the "Lending Library" section of the Classified Ads on this website.

    If you are a nonprofit, you may also list your Donation Wish List needs in the Classified Ads and Donation Wikis on this website. To use the Wikis you will first need to Log In and be added as a "Contributor" to this site.

    If you are not a nonprofit organization, you may still request "Gifts" of items, just make it very clear that you are NOT a nonprofit both here and in the Classified Ads. Then people can decide if they still want to help you as the items will then be considered to be a "Gift" to you and cannot, therefore, be deducted as a "Donation" for the purposes of their taxes. It will not be considered a tax deductible donation.

  • What specific Skills & Expertise do you need to achieve your Project (Big Idea, Goal)? Do you need a lawyer, public relations specialist, architect, carpenter, plumber, etc.? Please utilize the next question section below for other people resources that you may need.

Please be specific in requesting all of your needs and briefly state why this would benefit you or your organization. What difference would it make for you?

    In addition to posting your needs here, please remember that you can also post your request in the relevant sections of the FREE Classified Ads section of this website. There are several specific categories set up just for these types of requests that are listed in the Classified Ads.

  • Please be Specific about what items or services you purchase with donated money. This may inspire people to provide you with items and/or donate in-kind services. It could be that someone may be able to donate the needed goods or services without you having to spend $$$ on them.

    Example: Deploying Veteran Green Teams to do "Green Jobs"

If you wish, you may create a Thumbnail description of your American Dream in the Classified Ads of this website and ask people to contact you there. This will also help you to keep your contact information private.

    If a you are a Nonprofit organization, School/University, a Philanthropic group or if one of these types of organizations is sponsoring you, they can create a Profile in the Directory of this website and people can contact you through the "contact us" option there.

  • Where can people get more information about your Project?

  • If you are a Nonprofit group or are being sponsored by a Nonprofit, you may request cash donations. We do not take a percentage of the money donated.

    You will need to send your EIN Nonprofit Tax ID number, the name of the statutory agent of your organization, the name of the nonprofit organization, a contact phone number and a contact e-mail address.

    Once we confirm that you are an actual nonprofit organization, you will be set up to receive donations from the public.

    You can submit the rest of this listing form right now as it is and we can add the donation option later. Just submit what you have already written and we will move to the nonprofit confirmation stage and add that capability later.     All of the Projects do need to have a Sponsor Organization. It may be a Nonprofit, a School/University, a Government Agency, a Faith Organization or a Philanthropic Organization/Foundation. If you are one of these types of organizations then you serve as your own sponsor of a Project.

    If you are an individual, a family or a group that does not have a Sponsor Organization, do not worry. You may still submit this Project Proposal, but we cannot post it until a Sponsor Organization is found. We will try to help you find one or give you advice on which organizations may want to partner with you. You can also post a FREE Classified Ad under the category, "Projects Seeking Organization Partner" to find a group who shares your mission.

    Why do we request that you have a Sponsor organization? Our whole goal on this website is to build community and join like minded people and organizations who share a mission. It also gives community members more faith that the project that they are giving time, talents and donations to is legitimate. Also, organizations often have information or connections that can help you to complete your Project more quickly. Organizations may even decide to seek other organizations to partner with in order to effectively complete their own Project.
