Volunteers Opportunities & All Job Descriptions———> Search for Type of Volunteer Activities You Want to Do: They will meet real people in real nonprofits – I would like this intern to greet members when they arrive, but also get to know each of them and their organizations. Maybe build a profile of each to be shared among the group and with me – and I can better spread the knowledge about our members as I meet community members – develop a pseudo marketing program.
Opportunity to use their social media skills – to promote “Collaborating for a Cause” via all social media platforms – goal: to have every nonprofit know about this TOTALLY FREE opportunity to network and learn from expert speakers. Also can spotlight various members “profiles” (created above)
This person would learn about public speaking, running an event. He/she would have the opportunity to facilitate the meeting including making announcements, introductions, and introducing speakers. Grow into it – but would like someone interested in running events, meetings and would like the opportunity to do so if I cannot attend a meeting. Someone who would like to join Toastmasters is a plus.
Chance to research topics in the nonprofit world – This intern would have the opportunity to do research on topics, what members would most like to hear about, and arrange speakers for future meetings.
