Our Mission Statement: Rescuing Animals in Need (R.A.I.N.) Rescue’s mission is to adopt the adoptable cats and dogs, and educate the public on the care, safety and need to have their pets spayed/neutered.
What we do. Who we Help: Rescuing Animals in Need (R.A.I.N.)—–Our Goals:
• safeguarding sick, homeless, and abandoned cats and dogs until they can be placed in loving new homes
• providing a no-kill alternative for pets relinquished by their owners
• providing food, shelter, and medical attention such as spaying/neutering, testing, and immunizations for the animals in our care
• reducing the number of adoptable animals euthanized in county shelters
• educating the public on the importance of spaying and neutering, safely handling, and properly caring for cats and dogs

The Process for Receiving Our Services is: Call our Phone Line or visit our website. On the website there are forms for all aspects of services and volunteering.
Potential parents fill out a cat or dog interest form and then go through an interview so that we can watch for any warning signs that the match might not be right. We observe the animal interacting with the potential parent because the match needs to work for the animal too – not just the human. If all indications are positive, we have a contract filled out and allow the adoption to take place. We like to do home-checks within a week of the adoption if possible or follow up with a phone conversation to make sure all is well.
