Our Mission Statement: Standing Proud Pit Bull Rescue Center is a 501(c)(3) charitable Non-Profit Organization located in Mesa, Arizona. We focus on the rescuing, rehabilitation, & adoption of pit bulls within our community. Additionally we strive to be a resource and to educate our community about these wonderful dogs, in order to combat the negative misinformation that is distributed by the news media.
What we do. Who we Help: Standing Proud Pit Bull Rescue Center is a 501(c)(3) charitable Non-Profit Organization located in Mesa, Arizona. We focus on the rescuing, rehabilitation, & adoption of pit bulls within our community. Additionally we strive to be a resource and to educate our community about these wonderful dogs. We are a family run organization that rescues dogs with the help of foster families.
We primarily focus on the rescue, rehabilitation, adoption and education of Pit Bull and Pit Bull mixes, however we will never turn down an animal in need. We rescue animals from Maricopa county animal care and control.
An Example of a Great Fit for us or a Typical or Ideal Client that Could make use of our Services is: We only rescue animals from Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. We currently do not accept stray dogs or owner surrenders.

Our Major Fundraising Events & Activities–Help Needed: We do fundraising events all over the valley, ranging from adoption events, to dinners, etc. We are in need of people to help brain storm ideas for new fundraisers. We are very supportive of local businesses and would like to create more partnerships throughout the valley,
How we use your Monetary Donations: 90% of monetary donations are used towards veterinary expenses and medication. All other monetary donations are used towards training for our dogs, dog food, toys, etc.

We are a 100% volunteer run organization and we are always looking for more dedicated volunteers who are willing to commit time to helping us fulfill our organization’s mission!

Teen volunteers are welcome to help our animal rescue. Parental consent is required.
-Event Volunteers: Help set up/break down events.
-Information Table Help to help spread the word of our organization and/or sell merchandise to raise donation funds.
-Dog Handlers to keep the dogs busy.
-Day Fosters/Dog walkers: We have foster homes all through the valley, with these programs you can take a dog out for the day, go hiking, dog friendly restaurant, etc, or just take the pup for a walk through the neighborhood.
-Fundraising help: We are ALWAYS in need of volunteers to help us come up with fun fundraising idea, whether it be at local restaurant, local business etc.
