Resource for Animal Welfare and Rescues at ASU
We are the bridge between the community and the students of ASU to provide an opportunity for all students to learn about and participate in the world of animal rescue. Students will be provided learning experiences during general meetings in which guest speakers attend to help spread the word about their experiences working with animals. They will also be able to participate in fundraisers that are used to obtain much needed supplies for local shelters and rescues. Volunteering opportunities are set up for members to attend with the guidance of a volunteer chair officer that has experience and know-how about their assigned facilities or on their own. We will strive to provide team-building activities and functions that will bring the members of RAWR together in a tight-knit group. Our events — including the finals week “Paws” Your Finals Stress Puppy Event — brings an awareness of the animals in the community as well as providing an opportunity for stress relief for students. Whatever students are looking for in the animal community, we will work to help connect them with the resources and opportunities that they are looking for.
