Society for Creative Anachronism SCA
The Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) is a non-profit educational organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the customs, combat, and courtesies of the Middle Ages. The timeframe the Society focuses on covers approximately 1000 years, from the fall of Rome circa 600 AD into the Renaissance circa 1600 AD. The Society includes all parts of the world known to Western Europe within these times. While the emphasis is primarily European, many individuals have chosen to recreate cultures from the Orient, the Middle East, and even Central America. The Society is incorporated under the laws of California, with branches across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Korea.
