#AZhelpTeachers #AZhelpSchools #AZhelpNonprofits #AZhelpchildren #AZhelpOrganizationsProject Project Proposal:
We need your help on this project! Help us find what Information & Resources that our University and College Communities have to share that can Help Schools. What expertise, research, scientifically validated programs, mentors, interns, volunteers, services, donated items, used equipment, sponsorships for events, donation drives or anything else do Universities and Colleges have to share that can Help Schools or Assist the Nonprofit organizations that Help Schools.
You can help this project by posting any tips, advice, information & resources in the comments section below.
********To get started, please scroll down to Option #3 below. Will you help us to gather useful information about the Information, Help and Resources that Universities and Colleges have available to Help Schools?
Please forward this project post to friends, family & colleagues who may be interested in contributing information to this project and helping their community!
We are gathering information about the specific expertise, services, research and/or scientifically validated programs that Universities and Colleges may have available to Help Schools. What capstone projects, college student class projects or dissertations might also Help Schools? What lectures, conferences and training might Teachers, Students & School Personnel benefit from attending?
What opportunities are there for Schools to access potential mentors, interns or volunteers that would like to Help Schools or Help the Nonprofit Organizations that assist schools? Do Universities and Colleges have donated items, used equipment, event space, co-sponsorships for events, donation drives or anything else that can Help Schools? What clubs, teams, fraternities, sororities or special interest groups on campus might have Help & Resources that could benefit Schools?
For instance, teams, clubs, sororities and fraternities at Universities & Colleges often request community service projects of their membership. How can Schools and the Nonprofit Organizations that assist Schools connect with these groups to cooperate on doing projects and filling needs?
University & College classes often require final class projects or capstone projects for student portfolios. How can University/College departments, professors, students, Schools and the Nonprofit Organizations that assist Schools connect in order to collaborate on projects for mutual benefit?
How can we connect the specific needs of the Schools and the Nonprofit Organizations that assist Schools with the University or College students who need real world experience for their resumes and student portfolios?
What resources, programs, information and assistance are professors and students willing to provide off campus? What on campus Help & Resources do University/College personnel know about that they wish the general public knew about? What University/College assets, information and benefits are available for the local community to access?
What do Universities or Colleges do to Help Schools both on campus and off campus in their own local community ?
There are many ways that Universities or Colleges can Help Schools! Universities or Colleges may have unwanted items that Schools or Nonprofits can use that can be diverted from the landfill. Universities or Colleges can provide personal and virtual links to Schools and the Nonprofit organizations that work with schools.
Universities or Colleges can post school needs & opportunities to help on their website, co-sponsor events, donate space for events or run donation drives on campus. Universities or Colleges can include information that helps Schools in their newsletters. Some Universities or Colleges may choose to hang posters about events or issues relevant to Schools or School Nonprofits on their University or College bulletin board.
Many Universities or Colleges connect their staff, professors and students with volunteer opportunities in their community. Any ideas on how best to facilitate the connection of volunteer needs with potential volunteers on campus?
Some Universities or Colleges offer to match employee donations to nonprofit organizations. Some offer in-kind donations to Schools & Nonprofits that work with Schools. Others offer donated services or products for silent auction fundraisers.
Still others choose to be an event sponsor or donate meeting space for an event or conference that benefits Schools and the Nonprofits that assist Schools. What does your University or College do or want to do that may be of benefit to Schools in your community?
If you are a University or College that would like to post what expertise, help, resources, assistance, research, scientifically validated programs, in kind services, event sponsorships, mentors, volunteers, items to lend or donated items that you have to offer School related organizations in your community, please post a University and College Help & Resources to Share that Help Schools FREE Classified Ad–Click Here!
What University and College personnel, what University and College departments and what University and College students, teams or clubs are most likely to help when people are seeking assistance in Helping local Schools? What other ways can Universities, Colleges, professors and students cooperate to Help Schools?
What is your University or College department willing to do to reach out and Help local Schools? What are your University or College professors, students, teams or clubs willing to do to reach out and Help local Schools?
Let’s brainstorm other ways that Universities & Colleges can partner with their community to Help Schools! What Help & Resources are specific departments, teams, clubs or other parts of Universities & Colleges willing to provide that can Help Schools?
For example, the science department may provide campus tours or bring exhibits or lessons to the classroom. The educations department might provide student teachers. The arts & music departments might offer after school enrichment programs.
Which Universities & Colleges in our community are currently involved with Helping Schools and having a positive impact? What leads to a successful result when a person has a question or a concern regarding accessing Help for Schools from Universities & Colleges?
What actions and responses are most helpful when approaching a University or College about Helping a School? Who should you call in the University or College? What should you do? Where should you go for help and accurate information about the University & College resources available to Help Schools? Any tips & advice are appreciated!
We are tying to make it easier for Schools, Nonprofits that work with Schools and interested Universities or Colleges to coordinate efforts to Help Schools and cooperate on shared Community goals. Any ideas about how to do that?
What are some good examples of University & College programs or services that Help Schools? What are examples of programs or collaborations with Schools or School related Nonprofits that were handled well or handled poorly?
What are common mistakes that can be avoided? What have other Universities & Colleges discovered that works well in their effort to Help Schools? Let’s learn from others’ experience what does and does not work!
Will you please post any contact information or links to effective University & College sponsored “Help Schools” programs or successful collaborations in the comments section below? Help us to find University & College examples of programs to Help Schools that are successful either internally, within the University & College, or externally, within the larger community.
Let’s work together to make it easier for Teachers & Schools to find the University & College support they deserve and the information they need to find solutions for School needs & issues. Let’s Brainstorm and Share what Helps when people are seeking assistance from Universities & Colleges to Help Schools!
