Project Proposal:

Calling all Nonprofits and Social Entrepreneurs…We need your help on this project! What do you need from your community? What assistance do you need in order to fulfill your organization’s mission? What are your volunteer needs? What are your donation wish lists? What classes or trainings would be helpful to your organization? What types of mentors, interns or board members do you need help finding? Let’s work together to make it easier for nonprofits and social entrepreneurs to find the support they deserve and the information they need to do their good work in our community. Let’s Brainstorm ways that our community can Help!

You are helping to build this 100% volunteer run website! CommunityCause.org is built both by the community and for the community. This is what we call a Crowdsourcing Request project. Your Volunteer needs and Wish List of Donated Items will be added to this easily searchable website so that all individuals and organizations may find your requests and help your organization to get what it needs. Community members, by contributing your time, talent and information to this project, you will be making it easier for Nonprofits & Social Entrepreneurs to Connect with the Individuals, Resources & Organizations that can help them fulfill their organization’s mission.

Reason this Project is Needed:

It is often difficult and time-consuming for members of the public to find accurate and up to date information on what help & resources are needed to help Nonprofits with the needs and concerns that they have regarding getting the people & material resources they need to fulfill their mission. People are busy and stressed with all they need to do to just get through the day. We need to make Nonprofits easier to help! Currently, if members of the public are able find information, it is often out of date or incomplete. It is important to give community members and professionals access to current, accurate and readily available information so that Nonprofits & Social Entrepreneurs can get the assistance they need to help solve the Social & Environmental problems in our Community.

The information gathered through this project will be very useful to anyone assisting Nonprofits with finding the people & material resources they need. Individuals will have instant access to all the resources and organizations that other people have recommended as being very helpful. This will make anyone using the CommunityCause.org website an instant pseudo-expert on what help specific Nonprofits need and where to get Help & Resources. Nonprofit organizations will also be helped because they will have immediate access to the crowdsourced experience and expertise of others who are willing to help provide the Nonprofits with what they need. This project will make it easier for professionals and members of the public to assist Nonprofits to get the help they need. It will also make it easier for the Nonprofits to let the Community know what they need and how best to help!

Finished Product:

The Finished Product from this project will be the Helpful Needs Assessment, Available Resources & Advice gathered during this project that will be added to the database and relevant pages of this website.Specific needs will be added to the FREE Classified Want Ad section of this website. There will be a Volunteer Gazette that will list all of the volunteer needs in our community. There will be a Grapevine Newsletter that indicates all of the mentor, sponsor, intern, connection, referral and information needs that Nonprofits have. Finally their will be an itemized Nonprofit Donation Wish List sent out to businesses and organizations in our community.

We are striving to make CommunityCause.org an easily Searchable Website so that all individuals and organizations may derive benefit from this useful information source just by typing a few keywords into the “Search this Website” option. We want to help People to Connect with the Resources & Organizations that can assist them in solving the Social and Environmental issues in our community.
