We consider all people utilizing the CommunityCause.org website to be “community volunteers” because you are helping your community! Community volunteers are individuals who are passionate about an issue and seek to share their skills, experience and expertise. Community volunteers are altruistic freelancers although some of them volunteer for or work for nonprofits or other philanthropic organizations.
Community volunteers are not CommunityCause.org volunteers! Just like people use Facebook or Twitter to provide help, information & resources, the community volunteers use the CommunityCause.org web platform to help others. We only have very few CommunityCause.org Volunteers and they help to maintain the features of this website. For a list of the official volunteers that are specifically dedicated to maintaining the CommunityCause.org web platform, please scroll down to the very bottom of this page.
Although CommunityCause.org is 100% voluntter run, there are few “official volunteers”. Any time you share information or support a project, while not an official volunteer, you are a “community volunteer”!
This website is being built by you, with you and for our community Please join in by helping on any of the Community Projects or contribute information & resources on any of the website pages. *****Right now our biggest ongoing need is for community volunteers who help out by sharing projects with friends through social media channels.
*****We will also be crowdsourcing support, advice, or information to the various projects that are running as well as to the various interest Main Pages (Animals, Dogs, People, Teens, Organizations, Nonprofits) and Sub Pages (unwanted dog, lost dog, peer pressure, teen self-esteem, fundraising, volunteers).
*****We need help adding all nonprofit organizations into the Directory of Services & Organizations–Click Here!
*****We need assistance with crowdsourcing the Master Lists of Nonprofit Organizations–Click Here!
*****We need assistance in accumulating helpful and interesting information, resources, statistics, scientific research, “Projects in a Box” (projects that have been a success elsewhere), “Tool Kits”, nonprofit donation wish lists, donation needs, etc. for the modified sticky “Wiki pages”. We call them that because you help add to the change by sending in a comment. Your comment of information or resources is vetted by the curators of that interest page. Then, your comment contribution becomes part of the static web page of information.
The best news is that you can get started right away…no need to get our permission. Just find projects, causes, pages you want to help and Get Started!
