Project Proposal:

We need your help on this project! Help us to Create an Resource Book for people who have Substance Dependence or Behavioral Addictions & their families, through Crowdsourcing, that covers all of the major Substance Dependence, Behavioral Addiction & Family related questions or issues along with the organizations in Maricopa County, AZ that will provide needed services. These are the specific steps that you can take to help on this project:

Step #1—Please post your suggestions for categories or headings that will help to organize the resource book. What Substance Dependence or Behavioral Addiction related information do most people want to know? What resources are they searching for? What are the most common questions they want to have solved? What Substance Dependence, Behavioral Addiction or Family related questions have you searched for help for in the past? Where did you go for help on Substance Dependence, Behavioral Addiction or Family related issues? Please view the comments section to see the headings that have already been suggested. What is missing? What would you advise us to add?

Step #2—Help gather the names of organizations that fit under each category along with their website addresses and other contact information. Let’s make sure that they really do offer the services in the category or heading under which they are placed. We also want to make sure that the organization is still operating.

Step #3—Let us know about any resource books or lists that already exist. Or, if you know people who have been creating websites or resource lists of their own, will you ask them if they will share their information with us? That would really save a lot of time on this project!

Step #4—Help us to brainstorm all of the people & organizations who should have a FREE copy of this Resource Book for people with Substance Dependence issues, Behavioral Addictions or & their Families. So far we intend to give it to pediatricians, schools and child related stores and nonprofits. Where else should we distribute this FREE Resource Book for people with Substance Dependence issues, Behavioral Addictions & their Families? What individuals & organizations tend to get Substance Dependence or Behavioral Addiction related questions? Who needs to have quick & easy access to current & accurate Substance Dependence, Behavioral Addiction & Family related information & resources?

Our Goal is to: Create a Master List of all the organizations based in Arizona that are currently helping with Mental & Physical Health related issues. Add all organizations to the Directory of Organizations on the CommunityCause.org website along with the services they provide and their service area. Provide current & accurate information about Mental & Physical Health related organizations that is quick, clear and effortless to access. Make it easier for people in our community to find the Mental & Physical Health related groups when they want to help volunteer, donate items, sponsor events, or give money.

Our Goal is to: Create a Master List of all the organizations based in Arizona that are currently helping with Common Issues for People. Add all organizations to the Directory of Organizations on the CommunityCause.org website along with the services they provide and their service area. Provide current & accurate information about the organizations that help with Common Issues for People that is quick, clear and effortless to access. Make it easier for people in our community to find the General/Other People related groups when they want to help volunteer, donate items, sponsor events, or give money.

It is often difficult and time-consuming to find accurate and up to date information on the resources available to help people with the questions and concerns that they have regarding Substance Dependence, Behavioral Addiction & related Family issues. People are busy and stressed with all they need to do to just get through the day. If they are able find information, it is often out of date or incomplete. It is important to give community members and professionals access to crowd reviewed, current, accurate and readily available information so that people can get the assistance they need to help people with Substance Dependence, Behavioral Addiction & related Family issues.

The information gathered through this project will be very useful to anyone assisting friends or family members with Substance Dependence, Behavioral Addiction & related Family issues. Individuals will have instant access to all the tips, resources and organizations that other people have recommended as being very helpful. This will make anyone using the CommunityCause.org website an instant pseudo-expert on this topic because they will have immediate access to the crowdsourced experience and expertise of others who have dealt with and successfully resolved similar Substance Dependence, Behavioral Addiction & related Family issues. Helpful Tips, Resources & Advice gathered during this project will also be added to the database and relevant pages of this website. There will be checklists of tips and advice that others have found to be helpful when dealing with Substance Dependence, Behavioral Addiction & related Family issues.

Recommended organizations will be added to the Directory of Organizations on this website along with the services they provide. This will make it easier for people to find the exact organization that offers the specific services that are needed. We are striving to make CommunityCause.org an easily Searchable Website so that all individuals and organizations may derive benefit from this useful information source just by typing a few keywords into the “Search this Website” option.
