Project Proposal:

We need your help on this project! Help us find the Business Organizations that have expertise, mentors, volunteers, services, donated items, used business equipment, sponsorships for events, donation match programs or anything else that can Help the Environment or Assist the Nonprofit organizations that Help the Environment.

We are looking for Businesses and their useful Environment related advice, websites, newsletters, resources or anything else that they have to offer to the public that can help the Environment!

For instance, what environmentally friendly, “green” or sustainability policies or tips do businesses have to share with other businesses in their industry? How do manufacturers, construction contractors, house cleaners, etc. use environmentally friendly products or work processes to prevent harm to the environment?

What do businesses do to Help the Environment in their own organization, in their specific industry and in their own community ?

There are many ways that the Business community can Help the Environment! Businesses, offices & stores may have unwanted items that nonprofits can use that can be diverted from the landfill. Business organizations can provide links to environmental nonprofits & events on their organization’s website or include information in their newsletters. Some local businesses may choose to help by hanging posters about environmental events or issues on their bulletin board.

Many businesses connect their employees with volunteer opportunities in their community or offer to match employee donations to nonprofit organizations. Some offer donated services or products for silent auction fundraisers.

Still others choose to be a corporate sponsor or donate meeting space for an environment related event. We are tying to make it easier for the Environment related nonprofits and interested Businesses to coordinate efforts to help the Environment and cooperate on shared Community goals. Any ideas about how to do that?
