Arizona Taxpayers Pledge $$$$$ to Qualified Foster Care Organizations, Receive a Tax Credit off their Tax Burden and Help Children & Animals at the same time! Learn more…

This Tax Credit Project functions just like a walkathon fundraiser does. The difference is that, instead of pledging $$$ for each mile walked, animal lovers are pledging to donate $$$ for each animal spayed or neutered. By using the power of your connections to friends, family and social media channels, your Qualified Foster Care Organization receives a donation for each completed spay or neuter.

Animal lovers are pledging to donate $10 to Qualified Foster Care Organizations for every dog or cat that is spayed or neutered through your promotional efforts between now and December 31st, 2016! The donated funds will help children, foster care organizations & animals all at the same time! Thank you for wanting to make a positive difference in your community! Arizona tax law allows taxpayers a very generous tax credit for donations made to a Qualified Foster Care Organization! Taxpayers that file as “married filing joint” and only donate to a Foster Care Organization may claim a maximum credit of $800! Individual taxpayers filing as “single” and “head of household” status may claim a maximum credit of $400. Taxpayers filing as “married filing separate” may also claim a maximum credit of $400.

The taxpayer does not even need to “itemize” on their taxes to claim their tax credit!

Please note that if you also choose to make a charitable donation to a Qualified Charitable Organization to claim the “Working Poor Tax Credit” of $400 for married couples ($200 for individuals) then you will only be eligible for a Foster Care Organization Tax Credit of $400 for married couples ($200 for individuals) for a total tax credit, between the two types of organizations, of $800 for a married couple and $400 for an individual.

To clarify and state this another way, Arizona tax law allows taxpayers a tax credit of up to $200 (or $400 per married couple) if they contribute to both a Qualified Foster Care Organization and also a tax credit of up to $200 (or $400 per married couple) if they also contribute a Qualified Charitable Organization. In this case, the Arizona taxpayer would receive Tax Credits for donations to both types of organizations totaling $800 for a married couple and $400 for an individual!

The great news is that this Community Project helps local Qualified Foster Care Organizations get the money they need while solving a community problem! Animal overpopulation costs Arizona taxpayers thousands of dollars and creates needless suffering for our vulnerable animal companions. You can help solve a societal problem, alleviate animal suffering, educate the next generation of animal lovers, and support programs that help children & families all at the same time!

  1. Hello,

I am pledging $100 to any Qualifying Foster Care Organization that accepts the Dog and Cat Spay & Neuter Challenge! Just send in a reply to my comment if your Foster Care Organization would like to accept my $100 donation.

I am especially interested in helping organizations that specialize in supporting teens and offer programs specifically for teens. I know that it is sometimes easier to get donations for younger children. That is why I want my donation to go to an organization that helps teens in the foster care system, especially those providing services for youth who are about to age out of the program.

In return for my $100 donation, your high school promises to get the word out about local spay & neuter resources by telling people at your school and by sharing the information with the community through your social media channels. You will get $10 for each completed spay or neuter that any community members credit to your school’s effort to get the word out. You have until December 31st, 2016 to meet the spay/neuter number you commit to achieving. Then, there are more donation dollars available to you for next year 2017!!!

If you know other Qualifying Foster Care Organizations that may want to participate, please let them know. I have lots of other friends who care about children and also care about animals. There are more donation $$$$$ dollars available to help Foster Care Organization! Simply ask Qualifying Foster Care Organizations to send in their spay/neuter pledge numbers that they can commit to as a comment below and we will help find them donors who will accept their commitment and pledge $$$$$ to their Qualifying Foster Care Organization!

If you know of any other individuals who may want to donate dollars to Foster Care Organization, help animals and get the school tax credit, will you lease let them know that they can help children & animals through this program?

I would like to get this donation to your Qualifying Foster Care Organization before December 31st, 2016 so that I can get the School Tax Credit off of my 2016 taxes!

If your Qualifying Foster Care Organization would like to accept my donation pledge and my challenge, please reply to my donation pledge comment with the name of your high school and the necessary contact information so I can send the donation dollars directly to your organization. Thanks for making a difference in the lives of children & animals! Who will accept my challenge? 🙂
