    Project Proposal:

We need your help on this project! Help us to find the most useful tips, advice, books, blogs, websites, videos, newsletters, scientific research, resources and organizations that can help people save the life of an unwanted Dog. Help us to find accurate information & useful responses to the most common reasons why someone might have an unwanted Dog.

What are the common reasons that people give for having an unwanted Dog? Examples might be: My child is allergic. We are moving. I am not home enough. etc. What are the most effective reactions and responses that are helpful when talking someone through an issue with an unwanted Dog? Which information, reactions or responses work best to save the life of the Dog? How can a Dog lover respond when they hear someone give one of these common reasons for an unwanted Dog?

What people, organizations and resources really help when someone has an unwanted Dog? What types of unwanted Dogs do these organizations help (Senior Dogs, Special Needs Dogs, Kittens, etc.)? What type of unwanted Dog related public awareness campaigns, community assistance programs and (pre)intervention programs work best to keep Dogs in their homes or safely re-home them?

Which organizations are advocating for unwanted Dogs and having a positive impact? What leads to a successful result when a person encounters someone who has a question or a concern regarding their unwanted Dog? What are common mistakes that people make who have an unwanted Dog? Who should (shouldn’t) you call? What should (shouldn’t) you do?

When a person has a friend or family member with an unwanted Dog, where can they go for help and accurate information so that they can help save the life of the unwanted Dog? What are some good examples of unwanted Dog situations handled well? Please post any links to helpful examples regarding successful resolution of an unwanted Dog situation in our comments section below.

Let’s work together to make it easier for people who encounter someone with an unwanted Dog to find the support they deserve and the information they need to find solutions that will save the life of the Dog. Let’s Brainstorm and Share what Helps!
