Thank you for your interest in this Community Project proposal to Save More Animals! We welcome your Feedback! Please help us to make this “Adoption System for Rescued Animals in Maricopa County Project” even better by sending in your ideas or feedback via the “Share Information & Resources” comment section below.

If you are a 100% volunteer run animal rescue or, at least, a majority volunteer run organization then you are eligible to become a “Participating Animal Rescue”. Please let us know if you are interested in working together more closely by cooperating & coordinating efforts with other animal rescues in order to save more animals. There are ways that we can prevent some wear & tear on worn out volunteers! There are also ways that we can work much better, faster, cheaper & more effectively & efficiently. By working together we can make a bigger difference in the number of animals we are able to save.

Please forward this information to friends, family, colleagues & other animal rescues who may want to volunteer for one of the positions, may have information to contribute or may know of a nonprofit that may want to become a Participating Animal Rescue. The social media buttons on this page make sharing information about this project easy. Thanks for any help on this project!

There are several sub projects that will help all of us to get more animals adopted. For more details, please see below:

A. Breed Request Form
B. Animal Adoption Prescreening Form

A. Breed Request Form (Request for a specific type of animal from the public. The individual submitting the Breed Request is also encouraged to fill out the Adoption Prescreening Form (Details Below)——–>

1. Multiple Breed Rescue Project & Purebred Rescue Project (Animal Rescues will choose which projects they subscribe to follow. They will be immediately alerted when a breed request relevant to them comes in.)——–>

2. Animal “Social Worker” Alerted: Dog “Social Worker”, Cat “Social Worker” & Other Animal “Social Worker”—Online animal rescue volunteer gets paired with the potential adopter to help them navigate the system and search the animal rescues for a match.

Contact is made between the Animal rescue & the Potential adopter. Whichever animal rescue makes a match will alert all other participating animal rescues that an adoption has been completed. This is done easily by sending in a comment to that animal adoption project. This way animal rescues can concentrate their limited time & energy elsewhere.

IMPORTANT! All animal rescues who have taken in an animal through the “Unwanted Animal System” will be eligible to request financial assistance in getting the animal spayed or neutered. All Participating Animal Rescue are also able to take advantage of these features on the CommunityCause.org website that are set up to help animal rescues.

The CommunityCause.org Web Platform Offers Free Features that are Available to Help Participating Animal Rescues

—–>Social Media Lovers for a Cause Helping all Animals, Farm Animals, Wild Animals, etc. These are community volunteers who are willing to use their social media networks to help you get the word out about an animal event, fundraiser, special donation need for an animal or assist on pushing information about a special needs animal or an especially difficult animal to adopt out.

—–>Armchair Animal Rescuers–Social Media Lovers for a Cause Helping Dogs & Dog Rescues (Same projects for Dogs, Cats & Horses) These are community volunteers who are willing to use their social media networks to help you get the word out or “market” the need for a furr-ever home for the animals that you have available for adoption. They advocate on behalf of all homeless animals. They specifically subscribe to follow the Armchair Animal Rescuer projects in order to use their contacts & their social media network to help get the word out about animals needing placement.

—–>Helping Hand Projects–These projects allow animal rescues to list a special needs or difficult animal case and describe, specifically, what type of help or resources they need in order to help the animal.

—–>Emergency Foster Homes–These are “floating” volunteers that have subscribed to follow projects allowing them to help foster an animal “in a pinch” when a rescue knows they can help the animal but they do not currently have foster home or kennel space for the animal. It gives the animal rescue the ability to “flex” their capacity temporarily. Just send in a “Request for Help” to put out an immediate alert to potential Emergency Foster Homes. This is the online version of the Animal Overflow Shelter proposed by Rescuing Animals in Need–Click Here!

—–>Bottle Feeding Puppy or Kitten Project–These are “floating” volunteers that have subscribed to follow projects allowing them to help bottle feed an animal “in a pinch” when a rescue knows they can help the animal but they do not currently have the volunteers necessary to bottle feed an animal. Just send in a “Request for Help” to put out an immediate alert to potential volunteers who want to help.

—–>Pet Food & Pet Supplies Needed–These projects allow nonprofit organizations to request needed pet food or pet supplies and share extra if they have it. Just send in a “Request for Help” to put out an immediate alert to others.

More Details on Each Part of this Adoption System Project

Breed Request—>Form that anyone interested in adopting a dog, cat or other animal fills out and Participating Animal Rescues are immediately alerted. If they have an animal that may be a good match, they are welcome to contact the person.

*****Problem that is Solved—Many animal rescues have nice animals that are a good match for someone, but they never connect. Also, currently, many people who would like to adopt a rescued animal do not know how to proceed. Many become frustrated by the process and end up going to a breeder. Many people do not know that there are many purebred animals available that need to be rescued and re-homed.

This “Breed Request System” helps people navigate the animal rescue system. Instead of the potential adopter searching out different animal rescues, the animal rescues come to the person who submitted the breed request.

Animal Adoption Prescreening Form—>People who are interested in adopting an animal fill out a “short form” of specific questions that most animal rescues can agree upon. These are general questions that can give animal rescues some quick insight as to whether they want to pursue this potential adopter as a possible match for one of their adoptable animals. This would be a form that all Participating Animal Rescues would agree to accept as the first step in the adoption process. All rescues would, of course use their own adoption applications if an adoption match is found.

*****Problem that is Solved—Many people have complained that they spend hours filling out different adoption forms

——————————————————-Big Idea Project————————————————–
When someone has an interesting plan that they believe would solve a Social or Environmental problem, it is called a “Big Idea” (B.I.) project. A Big Idea project is posted when people would like to get ideas on how to make the idea even stronger and receive feedback on the potential pros/cons, costs/benefits, and (un)intended consequences that may occur if the idea were to be implemented. You can help by giving helpful feedback on the Big Ideas that are proposed. This “Big Idea” may then move forward to become a Community Goal, a Community Project, a Crowdsourcing Request, a Community Engagement project or any of the other types of projects that create something new in our community. Let’s use the power or crowdsourcing to make the idea even better! Thanks for your help!
